The programme is designed to provide students with practical tools and frameworks for integrating social responsibility as part of a company’s strategic planning, decision-making and general management, with the goal of adding value to both the business and the society as a whole. CSR concerns the governance of environmental, social and economic effects.

The concept of corporate social responsibility implies that corporations commit to improve the society and protect the environment. It means that, beyond obeying the national and international legal obligations, enterprises should pay great attention to the human aspects of their activities and to the changing expectations of the various stakeholders in society. All this without detracting from the economic purpose of the enterprise or impairing its competitiveness. CSR is a business opportunity that allows companies to improve their corporate reputation and to establish, develop and enhance their market share.

The overall objective of this course is to provide students with theoretical, methodological and empirical perspectives on substantive issues of Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility. The program is suitable for students who wish to include CSR and Sustainable Development studies as a part of a bachelor degree, professionals, and others who seek further education in CSR issues.
