Peace and conflict studies is a full semester programme providing an inter-disciplinary introduction to the study of social and political processes of peace and conflict resolution on a local, regional and global scale. The course gives a basis for critical analysis and reflection on specific lines of conflict in the world today. This is combined with an introduction to Indian and South Asian cultures and societies, enabling us to incorporate our personal experiences in India with the theoretical literature that the course provides.

The course is suitable for:
• Students who wish to include peace- and conflict studies as a part of a bachelor degree
• Professionals (for example teachers, diplomats, journalists) and others who seek further education in international and multicultural issues.
