TRAVEL AND STAY

The programme fee include accommodation. In Vietnam, Ghana and India it also includes breakfast and lunch on weekdays. Student accommodation is located near the centre of the town and is both practical and charming. Generally students share two to four to a room (a single room costs extra).

Ticket
You arrange your plane tickets yourself through a travel agency, and choose the route that suits you best. Many students decide to combine their studies with travelling before or after their study period. Our travel agent, Kilroy Travels, organise joint departures for those who wish to travel with fellow students. You can email Kilroy to enquire, on vip@kilroy.no.

Insurance
To make sure that all our students are correctly insured throughout the semester, Kulturstudier arranges mutual insurance with Gouda Travel Insurance. This insurance is mandatory for Nordic as well as German students, and costs 2175 NOK for one semester, 3695 NOK for two semesters. This price includes a discount of 14% compared to Gouda list prices. Thus, you do not need to take out insurance on your own, unless conditions of the group insurance do not meet your specific needs. If you already have other travel insurance you can choose to terminate it prior to departure, or to be double insured / additionally insured. By insuring all students through a mutual insurance scheme, the students share insurance number, and it is easier to help students if an accident or natural disaster should occur. You can read the terms and conditons for this insurance HERE. If you need to extend the insurance becauce you will make trips lasting more than 45 days, you can find more information here.

Students from other countries should buy a study-abroad-insurance including medical insurance and send a copy of the insurance policy to Kulturstudier before the semester begins, in order for us to make sure everyone is insured.
