Astrid

Hi! My name is Astrid, I'm 20 years old and I'm going to study Spanish in Costa Rica in the spring of 2026! I'm from Trondheim, but I've also lived in Valencia for a year, where I grew up

I've spent the last year doing my first service, and now I'm looking forward to exploring what tropical Costa Rica has to offer. I have a weakness for everything to do with travel, and I feel most comfortable outdoors. In addition, a lot of my free time is spent exercising and knitting, and I'm looking forward to bringing all of this into my new everyday life.

I'm counting down the days until I leave, and I'm really looking forward to my new everyday life filled with everything Costa Rica has to offer, and not least to sharing the adventure with you!

Scholarship opportunities

Each semester, we offer a select few local students the opportunity to take part in the course through our scholarship programme.

You must be a national of the country of study to be eligible.

The deadline to apply is 1 June for the autumn semester, and 1 November for the spring semester.
